#4 in the series is "Looking for a Fire Truck".
The cache is placed to represent the fourth part of the Girl Scout Law ... "Courageous and Strong". It reminds us to keep our body healthy and strong, learn in order to have a strong mind, be courageous enough to try new things, and to stand up to peer pressure and not be afraid to do the right thing.
Firemen need to be strong and courageous so we are placing this cache (with permission from the fire chief) at the Tyler Mountain Community Building beside the Tyler Mountain Volunteer Fire Department. We have gone on a tour here, have gotten to climb around in the firetrucks, and have even tried on the gear they wear. It is heavy! These firemen must be really strong just to be able to walk around in those suits!
In your log, feel free to post a way to be "Courageous and Strong".
Parking is available right beside the letterbox.
In letterboxing, you are supposed to use clues to help find the letterbox. If you have any questions about letterboxing and how it differs from geocaching, feel free to contact us. Letterboxing is a Brownie badge so we are trying to get more letterboxes in the area for local Brownies to find. Our clues will be simple so everyone can figure them out and the area Brownies can easily earn their badges.
Clue: The third little pig built his house out of these.
Good luck!
STAMP and INK PAD are not swag! Please leave these items in the letterbox for Letterboxers to use with their letterboxing journals. Thank you!
CONGRATULATIONS to QUEEN FISH and MAN IN THE WILD on the FTF!
