This is one of a series of caches we have placed on a route from Tauranga to Auckland return (T2A-R). The traditional caches will contain information needed for two bonus caches, one at either end of the trip.
Athenree Gorge
From time to time we travel this route between Tauranga and Auckland, sometimes returning the same day. We have got into the habit of stopping to find a cache or two as a good excuse to take a break from driving, and decided to place a few ourselves.
The co-ords will take you to a spot in the Athenree Gorge. This road can be very busy at times so please take care. There is plenty of room to pull off and park near GZ. We recommend you come prepared to CITO here (we needed to). You are looking for a 200ml sistema containing a log book and pencil. There is room for small swaps and TB's. Please be stealthy when retrieving the cache and rehide well. The cache also contains one of the clues you will need to locate the T2A-R: Auckland Bonus cache.
