Geocache Description:

This is my first hide, and I wanted it to be the same type of hide as my first (and subsequently second) find. It was that cache that introduced me to a common geocaching concept that was completely foreign to me at the time. I am sure almost every geocacher has had the same "aha" moment when finding one of these hides for the first time. Now, I couldn't tell you how many of this type I have found smiley.

I made my very first find on September 1, 2009 at a cache called "Don't Beat the Drums...."; however, it was my second attempt. My first attempt was on a cache around the corner called "Southern Cookin'". I must have spent around 45 minutes in that abandoned restaurant parking lot trying to figure out where the cache could be. I finally gave up and headed down the next street for my second attempt at a find. After some time reading the previous logs and the hint, it finally clicked where the cache container might be. I thought surely not, but I quickly had the cache in hand. After I signed the log and replaced the container to that no longer foreign concept of a hiding place, I got back in the car and thought about where to head next. That's when it hit me that there was one of these located in that restaurant parking lot right by where my GPS was previously telling me to go. enlightenedI quickly made my way back around the corner and I had my second find in hand. I made four more finds that day, but they were all different from my first two.

There are many foreign concepts to discover in the course of geocaching, and I am sure everyone always remembers their first experience learning one.

Parking is available right next to ground zero. This should be an easy find unless you are like I was the first time wink. Traffic should be light over in this corner, but still watch for muggles.

Congrats to Team Sukie for the FTF!
