hanowar: Because birds apparently would see this as a house, and it is wrong to make geocachers disturb bird nesting places, this is not a suitable cache anymore.
I tried to fix it by closing the hole, but it was opened again.

Geocache Description:

Een mooi "geheim" plekje langs de hoofdweg van Stramproy. Voor monumentenliefhebbers is dit een cache die je niet moet laten liggen!

A nice and "secret" spot next to the main road of Stramproy. For people that are into ancient buildings, this is a cache not to leave behind!

Het is niet bekend hoe oud deze hoeve precies is. Wat men wel weet is dat er heel veel geschiedenis aan vast plakt. Ergens in de zeventiende eeuw was dit een brouwerij, en een paar jaar geleden is deze prachtig gerestaureerd. Momenteel zitten er woonhuizen en een stichting voor visueel gehandicapte mensen.

The exact date of this ancient farmhouse is not known. But a lot of people have lived here, and a lot of beers have been brewed here back in the day when it was still a functional brewery. Now it is divided in houses and there is a home for visually handicapped people.
