Geocache Description:

The California Southern Desert Horned Lizard likes to hang out near ant hills, waiting for a tasty snack. When threatened it can only run a short distance and may hang out under a bush or in a rodent burrow, very still, using its colors to blend in. Bring your own fork, er um pen. :-)


The Rademacher Hills basin is full of interesting trails. The desert looks the same when you zing by in a car, but when you step into the scene you may be delighted by all kinds of life, from ants to desert horned lizards, jackrabbits, chuckwalla, burrowing owls, tortoises, black ravens, and many more.  This area is full of trails to enjoy, but watch your step!

Congratulations to this2shalpas for the pre-breakfast FTF. :-) Went back and double checked coordinates, which are the same as when published, but with the same phone today my arrow reads 21 feet north of where the little guy is. Hmmm...
