"Why here?" you might be asking... Well, all day long you can see people running up and down Long Lane. At least one of those runners is a cacher! This is a cache dedicated to all of those that run, of all ages.
I used to run at the gym and in October 2013 I had the brilliant idea of applying for the London Marathon through a charity. The plan: to say I had applied and didn't get in. I failed. The tables turned and I was offered a place.
"Oh no, I'll have to train for this!"
Started with the gym, treadmill and eventually moved outside. Did a half marathon, ran the London Marathon and now I am hooked. I love to run... And as I run, people around me have started to run and to walk. The benefits are various, but for me and for a lot of people, it is a sense of self achievement. Because it doesn't matter how fast you run, what matters is that you started.
“If you run, you are a runner. It doesn’t matter how fast or how far. It doesn’t matter if today is your first day or if you’ve been running for twenty years. There is no test to pass, no license to earn, no membership card to get. You just run.” - John Bingham, author and runner

PS: I might spot you when you go for this! I will say hello if I do! ;)
PS 2: Have I told you I have ran a marathon? :)
