Geocache Description:

You are looking for a micro with log only.

The Crooked Bush is a very unique and almost egnimatic place in central Saskatchewan. It is located NW of Hafford and is in the Redberry Lake Biosphere Reserve. The 3 acre grove, located on private land, is full of aspen trees and everyone of them has grown into a bent and twisted shape. The rumours about the crooked bush are all over the map and include explainations like the paranormal and aliens. There is even a rumour that animals will not go into the grove. However, as intersting as they maybe, cuttings from the aspens that have been grown and propagated in Manitoba have all grown in the same bent and twisted shapes. This suggests that the cause is genetic from some kind of mutation. Now with that said, there is no explanation of how that happened as they are unique and found nowhere else! So maybe, just maybe, there was some kind of out of this world infuence, some paranormal effect on them. I guess we'll never really know......  But if you are feeling brave and have nerves of steel, go for a visit to the crooked bush, just do it in the fall, when the leaves have all fallen, during a full moon and just after sunset. I have to say that was a very spooky way to go visit them!!!
