#8 in the series is "Uses Resources Wisely". The cache is placed to represent the eighth part of the Girl Scout Law ... "Use Resources Wisely". It is located behind a business in Cross Lanes that encourages people to reuse items that are still in good condition rather than disposing of them.
Recycling, not wasting food, donating extra items to charity, and conserving water and energy are all ways to use resources wisely. Here's an idea ... Turn empty plastic peanut butter, mayonaisse, or other large plastic containers into goecaching containers instead of throwing them in the trash!
In your log, feel free to post a way to be "Use Resources Wisely".
This letterbox hybrid is a quick park and grab. The business owner gave us permission to hide this geocache on the property. We were going to hide it in front of the store, but there wasn't a good hiding spot and we figured it would be muggled too quickly. The cache is behind the buildings but should be easy to find especially if you use the clue. You DO NOT need to cross the creek to get the letterbox. It is with 2 feet of the pavement.
In letterboxing, you are supposed to use clues to help find the letterbox. If you have any questions about letterboxing and how it differs from geocaching, feel free to contact us. Letterboxing is a Brownie badge so we are trying to get more letterboxes in the area for local Brownies to find. Our clues will be simple so everyone can figure them out and the area Brownies can easily earn their badges.

Good luck!
STAMP and INK PAD are not swag! Please leave these items in the letterbox for Letterboxers to use with their letterboxing journals. Thank you!
