The original church building, known as Harlestone Road Methodist Church was founded in 1899. It was situated further down Harlestone Road in the St James area of the town and served a local population of 20,000 with over 120 members. By the 1970's, the church was in need of considerable repair and a decision was made to sell the building and build a new church in Duston. The new St Andrew's Methodist Church was dedicated and opened on 23rd March 1974.
The church has a private car park which you may use whilst visiting the cache. Please note that dogs (other than guide dogs) are not allowed in the church grounds due to a small number of irresponsible owners allowing their pets to foul the lawn area which is used by young people for sporting activities.
The cache container is large enough for swaps and a few travel bugs.
All the information that you need to access the log is on the cache itself, no tools will be needed.
