Polaris K-12 School is the only urban public K-12 School in the Northwest. Founded in 1994, its philosophy is that people have an inherent desire to learn that continues throughout their lives. Polaris is a special place to many students, teachers, parents and community members.
In Spring 2014, I held a geocaching intensive, which introduced 32 students and several adults to geocaching. To commerate the intensive, we placed a cache near the school Habitat.
The Habitat is a wetland/forest/agriculture area used by students and teachers for real world science, art, lliterature and other classes. . It is also a place for quiet reflection and recreation for the school and the neighborhood. It is considered a very valuable and central place for our school community.
The cache is an old first aid kit that displays school pride. The cache is school and learning themed, so please trade swag accordingly. Please make sure you rehide the cache, as there is a good amount of traffic through the area.
There is an unactivated geocoin for the FTF prize.
