Geocache Description:

Welcome to historic South Norfolk!

This cache is located on the property of South Norfolk Congregational Christian Church. This church was established in 1904, so its 110th birthday will be celebrated this year! If you notice the cornerstone (visible from the parking lot on the main building) you will see that the building was finished in 1926 with the cornerstone being laid on April 3, 1926. I love the stained glass windows in this building! From the inside, the sun lights them up and they are beautiful. There are a few times and days during the week that are not conducive for caching: Sundays 9:00am-1:00pm & 5:00pm-8:30pm as well as Mondays 5:00pm-7:30pm. Other times are hit or miss. If you come across a parishioner that questions your presence just tell them Dyan sent you :) This is a very easy find; the container is large so bring some swag or tags! PLEASE be respectful of the property including any bushes or flowers planted there. FTF gets hand made jewelry :) Happy caching!!
