My oldest has been doing her Entomology project for 4-H for the past 7 years. Sweathouse Creek has been a great place to find insects for her collection. Butterflies love to hang out around the puddles at the Quarry. Bees and Wasps are also found along the puddles. Dragonflies will fly by between the trailhead and the Quarry. Beetles are all over the area. The Quarry is about .30 miles from the parking area. There is a small waterfall just before you get to the Quarry. The cache is another .20 miles.
We decided to put another cache since we come up here every year to hunt for insects. This is a camoed container is big enough to hold some swag. The cache is only 50 feet from the trail.
NOTE: Make sure to sign the cache logbook, as online "Found It" logs without a corresponding entry in the logbook will be deleted.
