Geocache Description:

The Gorge of Mylonas is located east of Ierapetra, north of the village of Ferma. It is not a very well-known gorge. Nowadays it is easy to find, if you know how to.

On the main road from Ierapetra to Makrigialos is a sign wich says "to Milonas Waterfall". Take the dirt road (accesible for normal cars, quad and MTB) until you reach the sign with "to waterfall of Milonas", where you can park your car. From here you follow the path, well guided with red arrows. For about 10-15 minutes you have to do some climbing, then from about halfway you can walk in the stone ditches that were built in the 1960's to carry the water from the waterfall.Walking along these is very easy. From the start of the path it will take about 20 minutes to get to the waterfall (wich is 40 meters high). The waterfall forms a small pool with clear water wich is perfect for refilling your waterbottle.

The cache is a petling with a logbook, bring your own pen.

Special thanks goes to the Crete Cachers wind&water, who are so kind to maintain the cache.
