Geocache Description:

This is a fairly easy cache in a beautiful area of waterfalls and rock cliffs owned by the Trustees of Reservation.

To get to the Bear's Den take Rte 2 to Rte 202 South. In 2 miles you will come to Rte 122. Continue on Rte 202 for .4 miles. Take a right onto Elm Street. Follow for .7 miles. Take a left onto Neilson Rd. At about .5 miles you will see a little pull off. The signpost identifies the parking area. A sign along the trail gives a little history of the area. It is believed that King Philip met here with his warriors during King Philips War. The Bear's Den was believed to have been named when an early settler shot a bear there.

Enjoy this beautiful area. USE CAUTION near the cliff edges with small children. You can skirt around them if you would like.

The cache is an ammo box with a booklight, a small leather purse, a multi-screw driver, a tiny flashlight and two mini carabiners.
