Take a stroll along the Junction City River Walk. Over all length of the trail is about 5 miles one way. This cache is about 1.9 miles from the parking lot off of Trooper road. About 3.8 miles round trip. Along the way you might spot some wild life and hear some birds singing away.
If you bring your pet, please pick up after your pets. There are those that don't and it you have to dodge mines on the trail.
The cache is a small container (about a P-nut butter container size) with a small item in it and a log book. Please bring something to put in it that is worth something.
Thanks and happy caching.
****WARNING****
Poison ivy can be found growing in any of the following three forms:
1. as a trailing vine that is 10–25 cm tall (4 to 10 inches)
2. as a shrub up to 1.2 m tall (4 feet)
3. as a climbing vine that grows on trees or some other support.
The following three characteristics are sufficient to identify poison ivy in most situations:
(a) clusters of three leaflets,
(b) alternate leaf arrangement,
(c) lack of thorns.
Vines growing on the trunk of a tree become firmly attached through numerous aerial rootlets known as reddish "hairs"
I have added some pictures to help you identify different types of Poison Ivy.
