This cache will take you to the village of Kirkoswald.In 1775, at the age of 16, Scotland's bard Robert Burns spent his summer in Kirkoswald where Souter's Inn now stands. Learn more about his friends and neighbours from that time including Douglas Graham of Shanter, the inspiration for 'Tam O Shanter' regarded by Burns himself as his greatest masterpiece. Visit the Kirk opposite Souter's Inn. Look at some of the grave stones and some of the caricatures from this piece can be seen laying at piece along with some fascinating headstone carvings.
