Geocache Description:

This series challenges you with a number of tasks, not the least of which is to hike all the way from the Shoreline (aka Burrard Inlet) to the Skyline, which in this case is the top of Skyline Trail in North Vancouver. Traversing a total distance of 8 kilometres, you will face an elevation gain of about 900 metres. The wise cacher will split this adventure into manageable sections. The rest of you should carry plenty of food and water.

Along the way, you will discover a few caches containing clues you need to collect, others that are not what they seem to be, and a couple that we hope will make you smile.

Bravo has been placed in this area for a few reasons. You are standing at the end of a new sidewalk that has been added to a busy little bridge, the confluence of Mission Creek with Mosquito Creek is close by, there's the new City of North Vancouver Works Yard across the trail, and a new residential development under construction upstream will be creating a new updated and accessible trail section along the east bank of Mosquito Creek.

Turning your attention to the cache, you are looking for a small black container that's just large enough to hold a pencil and log paper! Be aware there can sometimes be LOTS of muggle traffic passing by so stealth is a must!

We hope you enjoy this series. Remember to cache safely by always being aware of your surroundings, and please put the cache back as you found it.

You will also find an interesting piece of public art a few metres from the cache site. Raven Trail Marker was created by local artist Darren Joseph. He is most noted for his carved wooden masks, made out of red or yellow cedar as well as alder, so this metal sculpture represents a radical departure for Joseph.
