#5 in the series is "Reaches for the Stars". The cache is placed to represent the fifth part of the Girl Scout Law ... "Responsible for What I Say and Do". It is located near a church in Cross Lanes that hosts many girl scout, cub scout, and boy scout meetings.
It is important for people to take responsibility for their words and actions. If you make say something wrong and it hurts another person, you need to be mature, admit your mistakes, and say you are sorry. If you have a test and you don't bother studying and learning the material, you can't blame your parents or teachers. Pointing the finger at someone else and always redirecting blame isn't going to help you in life, make you successful, or make you happy. Instead, take responsibility for your actions, work hard, and reach for the stars!
In your log, feel free to post a way to be "Responsible".
Park in any of the parking lots located around the church and walk back to the shed near the playground. This is where you will find the letterbox.
In letterboxing, you are supposed to use clues to help find the letterbox. If you have any questions about letterboxing and how it differs from geocaching, feel free to contact us. Letterboxing is a Brownie badge so we are trying to get more letterboxes in the area for local Brownies to find. Our clues will be simple so everyone can figure them out and the area Brownies can easily earn their badges.
Clue: To figure out what side of the shed to look on, fill in the blank: "To tighten a faucet, turn it to the _________!"
Good luck!
STAMP and INK PAD are not swag! Please leave these items in the letterbox for Letterboxers to use with their letterboxing journals. Thank you!
