From this location on the weekend, there is a good chance of observing parachuting overhead. The difference between parachuting and skydiving is parachuting is an action sport in which the person jumps down with the help of a parachute towards the ground, while skydiving is a sport in which the skydiver performs stunts and acrobatics in the air.
From pretty much any USMC base, you will here the following cadence in the morning: C130 going down the strip, US Marines gonna take a little trip. Stand up hook up shuffle to the door, Jump right out and count to four. If my chute don’t open wide, I have another one by my side. If my reserve don’t blossom round, I’ll be the first one on the ground. If I land in a combat zone, Box me up and ship me home. Pin my medals upon my chest, Tell my momma I did my best.
