This is the fifth and final cache in a small series on the other side of Browns Folly south of Bathford.
The series will take you on a circular trail back to the car park.
From the fourth cache (Ashley Wood #4 - FORE!) you will need to head down the road to the pub. If you have already found the previous four caches, why not have a congratulatory drink!! Opposite the pub, there are two mine entrances. Go to the entrance on the right. To get to the final cache, you will now need to head straight up into the wood. Be careful of your footing as there are many caves and mine workings here - you will soon join the woodland path which will take you to the final cache.
Finding the main forest path can be tricky, and you will need to go 'off piste'. To help you, I have added some waypoints - please follow the instructions below:
1. Head into the wood to the 'Cave Valley' at N 51 24.069 W 002 16.555
2. Go through the valley and up out the other end to the Wooden Gate at N 51 24.075 W 002 16.589
3. From the gate, head SE up the grass track to the top of the hill. Here you will join a fence at Farmers Field N 51 24.025 W 002 16.522
4. Now head right into the wood along the track. Keep the fence to your left at all times.
5. When you get to the end of the fence, carry on straight for another 15 meters and you will reach the main forest path at N 51 23.945 W 002 16.664
After finding the cache, continue along the woodland path and you will arrive back at the car park. Look out for '10. Brown's Folly Ring - T'other side' by Gowenhouse along the way!!
