Professor Xavier: Although the CO has responded they've stated they cannot replace the cache, nor has anyone else done so. I'm therefore archiving this lsting. Please note that as this cache has now been archived by a reviewer or HQ staff it will NOT be unarchived.

Geocache Description:

A short, offset tree-climbing cache in the Sandy Heath area. The actual climb is fairly easy, although you might find the first two or so meters easier if you bring a rope or someone to give you a leg up.

The published coordinates will bring you to the Sandy Heath's veteran trees. Two massive trees estimated to be around 300 years old standing on a little hill, surrounded by a wooden rail fence. There are two signs on the opposite sides of the enclosure, which will help you get the final coordinates.

First find the sign giving you information about the trees and note the date the photograph was taken. This will be ABCD. Continue reading, and note what kind of tree was used to make the post and rail fence. If it was Turkey Oak E = 40. If it was English Oak E = 90, or if it was Sessile Oak, E = 10.

Now move on to the other side of the enclosure and find the sign about geology of Sandy Heath. Note how many million years ago was the Bagshot Sand laid down. This will be FG. Continue reading and you will find when was certain gentleman thwarted from building on the Heath. This will be HIJK.

The cache can be found at:

N51° ((DxF)+3).(C+3)(E-1)
W000° ((HxI)+2).(J)(C+1)(B)
Checksum for the entire coordinates is 55
N.B. Do not multiply the results in parentheses - simply put them in your GPS as they are.

The cache is a camouflaged tube larger than the average micro, possibly capable of holding small trackables, and located about 5 meters up an oak tree. You should have no trouble identifying the tree in question as it is the only obviously climbable tree around. The cache is rather difficult to spot from the ground but should become fairly obvious once you are a few meters up. When you have got to the cache, please only remove the inner tube, leave the wooden cover attached to the tree, and after signing the log, make sure the tube has been properly replaced in its holder. The coords were taken over multiple visits with two devices, but you can never be sure with the tree-cover, so if you want to make things easier on yourself or if in doubt, feel free to check the spoiler pictures.

There is some undergrowth on the way to the cache, possibly including brambles, so long trousers and good shoes come strongly recommended.

Please remeber that no cache is worth ruining your health over, so only attempt the climb if you are confident in your abilities. Please note that you attempt it entirely at your own risk, and any injury that may result from falling out of the tree is entirely your own resposibility.

Good luck and happy caching!
