Geocache Description:

Minnesota Spirit Quest - Fron Cemetery

Fron Cemetery is located just south of Starbuck, MN, which is on the west side of beautiful Lake Minnewaska. Please be respectful of the graves in the cemetery and only seek this cache during daylight hours.



At the posted coordinates, you will find the headstone for Adolph E Carlson. He is my grandfather. He served proudly in the U.S. Army during World War II,where he achieved the rank of TEC 3 (Technician Third Grade, roughly equivalent to a Staff Sergeant in today's Army). This cache was placed in his honor on Memorial Day weekend in 2014 by myself and my daughter, Melie Bug. He had a great life and served this great country with honor and dignity.


This is a simple two-stage multi. In order to find the second stage, you will need to do some simple field math. Once you reach the headstone, you will find two numbers. One is the year he was born, the other is the year of his death.

A equals the year he was born.
B equals the year of his death.

Stage 2 is located at N 45 35.(A minus 1766) W 095 30.(B minus 1540)
