Geocache Description:

Glenade Lough is a naturally occurring eutrophic lake. It is situated close to Manorhamilton, between the Arroo and Benbulben Mountain ranges. The purpose of this cache is simply to share with you this newly developed amenity area. There are a few legends around this area an this lake, particularly the one of the otter-like creature known as Dobarchú, which was allegedly responsible for the death of a local lady called Grace Connolly. A gravestone depicting the Dobarchú can be seen in Conwall Graveyard, Glenade and more information on the legend can be found on an information post in this car park.

Please replace this cache neatly and securely back into its' hiding place.

We hope you enjoy this view and maybe you have time to look for some of our other caches in the area!
