This area is the former site of the Twin Pines Fire Lookout. This lookout started out as a tent rag camp with a phone and was then replaced by a 30ft tall wooden tower and a log cabin. Unlike most of the other fire lookouts in the area, which were operated by the U.S. Forest Service, this fire lookout was operated by the State of Oregon. I have searched the area, and unfortunately it appears that the last logging operation in the area may have destroyed any evidence of this being here.
