North Shore Greenway #4 Dry Docks

From Boats, Bikes, Cars and Trains, this Cache is in a series of caches that highlight the proposed North Shore Greenway that will tie together the Kill Van Kull, the North Shore Railroad and Richmond Terrace.

This Cache will take you to a brand new city park next to a series of dry docks.  Growing up on the Kill Van Kull and kayaking in the kull every summer, I’ve been able to see these dry docks and the huge number of ships that come in for repair, from Ferries to Pirate Sail Ships. This new park is giving land dwellers a change to see this maritime industry that makes New York Harbor one of the best in the world.

The cache is a miro,  BYOP. This park is officially open, but the parking lots are still off limits, due to unsafe road conditions on Richmond Terrae, so you will need to park up on the street.  I recommend riding a bike anyway.
