Das Gerhard-Hanappi-Stadion ist ein Fußballstadion in Hütteldorf, einem Stadtteil im 14. Wiener Gemeindebezirk und Heimstätte des SK Rapid Wien. Das Stadion ist im Besitz der Stadt Wien, die es an Rapid verpachtet. Es trägt seit April 1981 den Namen seines Architekten und Rapidspielers Gerhard Hanappi, der in seiner Zeit als aktiver Fußballspieler als Rekordnationalspieler berühmt wurde.
Das Hanappi Stadion wird derzeit neu gebaut. Das alte Spielfeld ist nicht mehr vorhanden, der Ausgangspunkt kann aber immer noch mithilfe des Wiener Stadtplans herausgefunden werden (Satellitenansicht!): http://www.wien.gv.at/stadtplan.
The Gerhard-Hanappi-Stadion is a football stadium in Hütteldorf, in the 14th Vienna district, the home of the SK Rapid Wien. The stadium is owned by the City of Vienna, who leases it out to Rapid. Since April 1981 it wears the name of it's architect and Rapid player Gerhard Hanappi, who was in his time as active football player famous as records holding player in the Austrian National Football Team.
The Hanappi Stadion is currently being re-constructed. The old field has disappeared, but the reference point can still be found, using the City Map of Vienna (Satellite View!): http://www.wien.gv.at/stadtplan.
