The Western Reserve Greenway Trail(WRGT) Geotail is a 26 mile ling paved trail owned by The Ashtabula County Metroparks. The trail recieves no public funds and is only kept up by grants and donations. It`s totally maintained by volunteers so please keep it beautifula nd always CITO. A volunteer bike patrol also helps maintain the trail, offer information and help visitors along the trail. Feel free to Walk or Ride the trail and site see along the way. No motorized vehicles are allowed on the trail. Currently there are over 150 caches along this section of trail. There are many bridges and sites to see. Benches are located at various places along the trail to stop and take a break. For the most part the trail; is well shaded and also has a pavillion at the Lampson Road Staging Area in Austinburg. Other Parking areas are located at West Ave in Ashtabula, Woodman Ave in Ashtabula, Old Austinburg Road in Saybrook, SR 307 in Austinburg,Eagleville Road, Jefferson Road, Station Street in rock Creek, and Penniman road in Orwell just South of US 322. The Geo trail was created by CrazyKC and the "Western Reserve Geocachers". Coins funded by the Ashtabula County Convention and Visitors Bureau. In order to earn your the Geocoin, you must complete the whole 26 miles of trail and write down 2 code words from each mile of trail. Each mile has 3 or 4 code words. Words are located on lids and or logs along with the mile number. Once you have the trail and you have your 52 code words you can retrieve your coin from the ACC&VB located at (GC2ZNZW) You may also pick up coins at Shannon`s Mini Mart at the trail and SR 307.
