Geocache Description:

This cache is located along mile marker 6 of the WRGT GeotraIl. You will be looking for a Large Cache. Please return cache to its proper location and please hide as well or better than you found it.


The Western Reserve Greenway Trail(WRGT) Geotrail is a 26 mile long trail owned by The Ashtabula County Metroparks. The trail receives no public funds and is only kept up with grants and donations.It`s totally maintained by volunteers so please keep it beautiful and always CITO. A volunteer bike patrol also helps maintain the trail, offer information and help for visitors to the trail. Feel free to Walk or Ride the trail and site see along the Way. No motorized vehicles are allowed on the trail. currently there are over 150 caches along this section of trail. There are many bridges and sites to see. Benches are located at various places along the trail to stop and take a break. For the most part the trail is well shaded and also has a pavillion at the Lampson Road Staging Area in Austinburg. Other parking is available at West Ave in Ashtabula, Woodman Ave in Ashtabula. Old Austinburg Road in Saybrook, SR 307 in Austinburg, Eagleville Road, Jefferson Road, Station Strret in Rock Creek, and Penniman Road in Orwell just South of US 322. The Geotrail was created by CrazyKC and the "Western Reserve Geocachers". Coins funded by the Ashtabula County Convention and Visitors Bureau. In order to earn your Geocoin, you must complete all 26 miles of trail and write down 2 code words from each mile of trail. Each mile has at least 3 or 4 code words. Words are located on lids and or logs along with the mile number. Once you have completed the trail and have your 52 code words you can retrieve your coin from ACC&VB located at(GC2ZNZW). You may also pick up coins at shannon`s Mini Mart at the trail and SR 307. YOU MUST HAVE ALL 52 CODE WORDS TO RECEIVE YOUR COIN.
