Palmetto Island State Park is hosting its first ever Geocaching Fun Day! Discover Palmetto Island State Park...cache by cache. Join us Saturday, June 28th from 10am till 2pm for a fun day of geocaching and discovering what Palmetto Island State park has to offer. Our Geocaching Fun Day event is free to participate...please be aware Park entry fees apply. Currently it is $2 to enter. Our help station will be available from 930 am till 2pm.
Bring your trackables for trading and discovery.
We will be debuting 5 new permanent geocaches inside the park. We will also be placing a minimum of 10 temporary caches available that day only and will be available all day, even after the event time has ended. Remember to bring insect repellant and wear suitable outdoor clothing, you will be inside a state park. There are wild animals everywhere(yes, humans count!) There will be a concession stand present the day of the event. Plenty of parking and bathrooms too. Be prepared to explore and have fun!!!!!
