Geocache Description:

This is one of 20 qualifying caches for the 2014 Canyon City-John Day Geocoin. See GC53M7T for details.

A quick roadside grab with an interesting view.  Those driving up Adams Road need to pull completely around the switchback in the road to the wide pullout, then carefully turn around and park next to the guardrail on the south side of the road.

Looking east from the cache is the general area where gold was first discovered in June of 1862, precipitating a gold rush which lasted the next 18 years.

You're seeking a camoed plastic container.
