Geocache Description:

The caches are drive and park and within a few meters of the road. Ensure you park off the road as there is heavy industrial traffic at all times of the day.

Evans Road is named after Oliver Hixon Evans who was one of the four founders of Ashcroft.  He opened Ashcroft’s first hotel and later settled two miles from town at the Butte Ranch, the present day site of the Ashcroft Terminal.
