Follow me on my adventure from Walnut Creek to the Prescott National Forest boundary of Apache Creek Wilderness. These dirt roads are relatively smooth, but may have rocks, grades, water crossings, or ruts that make clearance a concern in a normal passenger vehicle. They are fairly wide, so that passing is possible at almost any point. To the north you can see Juniper Mesa Wilderness rising from Walnut Creek Valley. To the west are the Santa Maria Mountains. After leaving the ACW area you can return to Prescott via 95, Campwood & Williamson Valley Roads. If you want to learn more about this area you can read about it in Arcadia Publication's Williamson Valley Road book.
