Film: Goldfinger
Year: 1964
Synopsis: James Bond (Sean Connery) has been captured by security at Goldfinger's industrial plant. When he comes to, he finds himself tied to a gold slab on a laboratory table. Goldfinger has discovered that Bond is a 00 agent, and intends to kill Bond for getting in the way of obtaining more gold. Goldfinger gives Bond a demonstration of his new toy, an industrial laser cutter that can cut through flesh as well as metal. As the laser beam inches closer, Bond announces that he knows of "Operation Grand Slam" and even if he dies, the next 00 agent will continue to try to stop Goldfinger.
Goldfinger confers with his henchmen as the laser draws closer and, at the last second, changes his mind, stops the laser and has one of his minions tranquilize Bond.
