Här går gränsen mellan Halland och Skåne. Den är även gräns mellan Östra Karups och Båstads socknar. Fram till 1971 utgjorde den gräns mellan Hallands och Kristiandsstads län. Under åren 1645-1658 var den dessutom riksgräns mellan Sverige och Danmark.
