While I don't typically enjoy the genre of romantic comedies, it's hard to deny there is something special about (500) Days of Summer (2009). Perhaps it is the pure charismatic charm of its stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Zooey Deschanel. Perhaps it is the realistic take on the morphing nature of relationships. Or perhaps it is the amazing soundtrack that accompanies the creative narration at work in parts of the film. Whatever it is, Marc Webb brings to the screen a dynamic, engaging, funny, yet all too real example of the power and sorrows of relationships. If you haven't seen this film yet, give it a shot!
