Dale Earnhardt's "other" well known number is the #15. He ran the Wrangler Jeans Thunderbird in 1982 and 1983 before switching to the #3 for good. Dale won 3 races in the #15. When he expanded to three cars in 2001 at Dale Earnhardt Incorporated, #15 was one of the choices, with Michael Waltrip driving. "Mikey" went on to win the first race that season, the Daytona 500, the race in which Dale died in a last-lap crash.
