Geocache Description:

Beach Poetry

THE CACHE IS NOT AT THE LISTED COORDINATES!  Please solve the following puzzle to find the cache.

Stroll through the beautiful streets and trails of Cannon Beach and enjoy some fun poetry to solve this easy puzzle.

The posted coordinates are a great place to park (if you are lucky!) and a good place to start the puzzle.

In the Waypoints section of this listing, you will find the coordinates for eight locations within easy walking distance of downtown Cannon Beach.  You will need to visit each of these locations to solve the puzzle.  If you have downloaded the cache listing to your GPS receiver, the waypoints should be included automatically.  Otherwise, they can be entered manually from the listing.

The waypoints are named "Poet1" through "Poet8".  Note:  When downloaded with the listing, the waypoints may have names that don't mean anything, such as "P155ZRV".  However, if you select a waypoint and then "Review Point", you should see the "Poet" name displayed.  If anyone knows how to avoid the non-descriptive default names, please let me know!

They are arranged in the order that will be most efficient for solving the puzzle and then finding the cache.  You can, however, visit them in any order.  Note:  After leaving Poet7, walk east on 2nd Street past the Skate Park to the ponds and then south on the Cannon Beach Nature Trail to Poet8.

At each waypoint, you will find some beach poetry.  Read each of the poems and use them to answer the eight questions below.  The questions are multiple choice and the numbers following your choices will be used to build the coordinates of the cache.  Tip: Take a printout of the listing with you if possible!

Here are the questions in a random order.  You should be able to answer one question at each site:
