This small village was named after Bartolome de Montoya, a native Spaniard who married Maria de Zamora in Mexico City. He and his family moved to this area in 1600. There is no record of a post office here.
This cache is placed as a tribute to the pioneers and early settlers of this Los Montoyas area. Be discrete because of nearby residences. Need not cross the fence.
