This cache is located near the now defunct 4 Points Cotton Gin. In the years before modern highways and transportation, this crossroads was a vibrant hubof commerce in the Mesilla Valley. Most of the cotton came to the gin on small trailers from nearby farms and there was a grocery store/mercantile on the southeast corner. Now it is just another busy crossroads.
