lichenlass: Checked on this cache last weekend and it's defined gone missing. Since the wall is in a delicate state I don't think is appropriate to reinstate it. Hope those who found it enjoyed it while it was active.

Geocache Description:


Newhills Parish Church is located alongside a busy country road a few miles west of Aberdeen. It opened in 1830 to replace Newhills Old Parish Church, an earlier church located a short distance away, and could accomodate a much larger congregation than the previous church.

The church stands in small garden grounds and does not have a graveyard. Burials take place in the nearby cemetery, attached to the graveyard of the old parish church.

It is possible to walk from the church to the cemetrey and the cache is placed on a track which might once have been the "coffin route" linking the church to the cemetery.

Parking is available at either the church or the cemetery but I would not recommend searching for this cache on a Sunday morning!
