*************CONGRATS TO HAWKHAVEN FOR THE FTF************

A few of us gathered for the kick-off of the Yellow Submarine Geo-Art. Teaming up with Warman & MiMi, Cach Whisperer & Spunkmama, we headed out to grab the series. About 3/4ths of the way through the series, we stumble across John Hawthorn(Hawkhaven) having a little trouble navigating through the terrain. A quick assessment of the situation prompted a tug from my F-150, and John was back on the road again. We exchanged gratitudes, and I said, "Pay it Forward." Well off we went to get the remaining caches in the series. The water in the area was getting deeper, and the mud was starting to get sloppy. Things went south fast as Warman & MiMi found themselves stuck in some deep ruts. With my F150 coming off a great day of plowing through some pretty sloppy stuff, I felt confident I was able to come around him and pull the SUV out of the rut. I forged through and passed Warman and figured I was in the clear. Then the traction went away, and my F-150 started to list to the driver's side. Efforts to try to regain traction were unsuccessful as the frame of my F150 was grounded out. So I made the Call for Yoda to pull Warman and me to higher ground. Calls for HELP went out, and it wasn't long before Spunkymama noticed something in the distance plowing through the terrain. The cavalry was approaching!!!! But it wasn't the YODA as expected, it was Hawkhaven coming to "PAY IT FORWARD." We assessed the severity of the situation and developed a plan. We made a few attempts to get me out, and it was beginning to look grim, and the left side of the F150 was going in deep. With the water nearly reaching the window. I crawled out of the passenger side of the F150 to regroup with Hawkhaven. Armed with another plan, we gave it another go. Finally pulling me to higher ground. We quickly focused on Warman's SUV. A slight tug and he was free. We knew it was getting late, and darkness began to roll in. We had some rough terrain to cover before we could rest easy. The phone rang, and it was Horseshoechamp. He was en route. We all plowed through the sloppy terrain, overcoming all sorts of obstacles. We finally made it to higher ground, and a sense of ease began to wash over us. We were on smooth sailing now. We gathered at 441 & 285 waiting for HorseshoeChamp to arrive. After a short wait, we were all ready to depart and go our separate ways. Spunkymama and I departed from the party and headed back to Callahan. Although exhausted, we were very appreciative of the TEAM effort to ensure everyone was OK. So the next time you are on the trail, remember to "PAY IT FORWARD." You never know when it will be your time.
