Geocache Description:

Football at St. Olaf began in 1893. Since 1930, Manitou Field has been home to Ole football. The best time to retrieve this cache is from September - November where on select Saturdays you can watch the Oles take on teams from around the M.I.A.C. (Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference).

Some St. Olaf football facts

The 1930 St. Olaf football team led the nation in scoring, sat with Notre Dame and Alabama as one of the nation's few undefeated teams, and freshman Harry Newby was featured on "Ripley's Believe it or Not" for scoring on all four on his first four offensive touches.

We all know the Ole defense is built to stop the run, but did you know St. Olaf held Carelton to zero meters rushing en route to a 44 - 0 victory? You read that correctly... meters. Dubbed the "Liter Bowl," the Oles and Carls played the first metric football game ever played. Guess whose idea it was? (hint:Oles)

Because of the football theme, the cache is located roughly at the 15 yard line, 15 yards from the trail.
