Sitting on the Dock of the Bay (Taranaki) Traditional Cache

Micro cache with amazing views.

Be very careful with young ones and do not attempt in high sea states as the water does come over this area sometimes.

Cache is very small so BYO pen. Also a tool may be required to extract the log, depending on finger nail length.

This is a beautiful spot on a nice day and can be pretty rough in bad weather. There are excellent views back towards the land and of the mountain and also out to the Tasman Straight.

At the right times it's quite pleasant to watch the boats head in and out of port.

This area is very popular with fishermen and sightseers so stealth is generally required.
