Salendo ai Cognoli di Ottaviano per il sentiero n.2 del Parco o attraversando la Valle dell'Inferno per il sentiero n.1, si attraversa questo piazzale panoramico intorno quota 800.
In questo piazzale si ergeva il Rifugio La Marca, che era una grossa struttura abusiva che è stata demolita nel 2000.
Da allora il piazzale è diventato il simbolo della lotta contro l'illegalità nell'area del Parco Nazionale del Vesuvio, ed è stato chiamato Piazzale della Legalità.
Dal piazzale si gode un'ottima vista del Gran Cono e dei Monti Lattari.
Portare un pò d'acqua e usare calzature da escursione.

Going to Cognoli di Ottaviano following the path number 2 of the Park or through the Valley of Hell to the path number 1, you cross this square panoramic around 800m.
In this square stood the Rifugio La Marca, a large abusive structure that was demolished in 2000.
Since then the square has become the symbol of the fight against lawlessness in the National Park of Vesuvius, and was called the Square of Legality.
From the square you can enjoy an excellent view of the Big Cone and of Mt Lattari.
