Blair Drummond Reservoir Traditional Cache

This is the 3rd cache in a circular walk around the Northern section of Blair Drummond estate.

It is mainly on farm tracks but there is a short section of rough ground which is waypointed.

It should take you about 2 hours and leads through a variety of different landscapes with excellent views especially of Doune Castle and the river.

The track here from the chain gates is the historical old front drive to Blair Drummond House from Doune. There were originally three entrances.

Ahead of you is a man made reservoir which you can make out at the edge of the Safari Park. You may see them flying the birds of prey in the distance. You may see staff from Blairdrummond Safari Park collecting the bamboo for the animals between here and BD2. Unfortunately there isnt a bench here to sit and admire the view. Please observe the No Entry signs - we don't want you eaten by their Lions!!
