This geocache is a PET Preform container (the beginning of a 2-liter soda bottle) with a pen and narrow log paper with a screw cap. There is no room for trinkets / trading of Geocache coins, etc. Just log your find and then enjoy the GW Tree and then the Ray County Museum! This easy cache may be located when the Museum is not open, as the cache is located on the Museum grounds. Ray County was formed early in Missouri State History, with it's original county seat was east of Camden, near the Missouri River. In 1826 the court was moved to Richmond. Originally, the county went from the Missouri River north to the Iowa Territory border and west to the Kansas border. Later, other counties were carved out of this original county. The Museum commemorates all of the history, including coal mining, schools, native americans, farming, various wars, and the infamous "Mormon War". The Ray County Historical Society also is located in the museum with a room of genealogy materials. The building originally was the former Poor House / Farm, and is reported to actually be haunted! The grounds include the Ray County Fairgrounds.
The GW Birthday Tree is in the yard between the cache and the Museum front steps.
