現在の地蔵峠は昭和４４年に開通した新しい道です。
旧地蔵峠は、現在の峠位置より５００ｍほどはなれた山中にあます。
現在は、通行することは出来ません。
旧地蔵峠の上り口は、松井新田にあり、現在も、かわいいお地蔵さんに「右善光寺・左山ミチ」と彫ってあるのを見ることが出来ます。
