Meikle Wartle is a small rural village in north-east of Scotland. It is around 7 miles north of Inverurie.
Local facilities include a village hall (newly built in 2001), a garage and general store, a B&B and a public house. There is also a mansion house nearby, by the name of Warthill House. The village consists of a few older buildings surrounded by several newer buildings.
Meikle wartle has also been my place of home since i was born 19 years ago so this set of caches are very close to home for me!
The 3 caches named "The Island" will take you around the popular dog walking route for the locals of meikle wartle parking can e found at the nearby village hall or these can be treated as quick cache and dash while passying by.
