Geocache Description:

During our geocache experience we had the opportunity to explore different park areas and public places before finding an exact location appropriate to hide our geocache. Searching for our hiding spot allowed us to see different significant types of land use that makes up the rural areas of St. Catharines. We decided on the location we chose due to it being easily accessible to the public and near a frequently visited park.

This geocache is located behind the Bill Burgoyne Memorial Arena along the backside of Sheridan Park. The arena is located along Linwell Rd in St. Catharines. It is a relatively big camouflaged container and due to its location is at a medium difficulty to find. The theme of this geocache was inspired by the industry of mining. Inside are three trivia questions that are based on the history and facts about the development of the industry.  The explanation of our geocache highlights the main ideas on Canada and its minerals as well as how we have adapted the main methods we use within our country to dig for these natural resources.
