Paddle-to-the-Sea is a 1941 children's book, written and illustrated by American author/artist Holling C. Holling.
The film Paddle-to-the-Sea , based on this book, was produced by the National Film Board of Canada in 1966, directed by Bill Mason. It was nominated for an Oscar.
The story follows the progress of carved little wooden aboriginal character sitting in a canoe on its journey through all five Great Lakes and the St. Lawrence River, finally arriving at the Atlantic Ocean.
It would probably take a really long time for anything to travel from this location to the sea but a good start would be to travel to the marsh... as long as the culvert is open!
